Traditional Country French Style Garlic Soup

  • 2 cups chopped garlic
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add olive oil and onions, cooking until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for another minute.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Once simmering, stir in the heavy cream.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, then blend until smooth.
  7. Serve hot, topped with crumbled turkey bacon.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit turkey bacon and use vegetable broth.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs for added flavor.
