The Best Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and dissolve the sugar in it.
  2. Mix in the yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  4. Add melted butter, eggs, and the yeast mixture to the bowl and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size, around 1 hour.
  7. Roll out the dough and spread a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
  8. Roll the dough and cut into pieces.
  9. Place in a baking dish and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.

Notes

  • Ensure the yeast is fresh for better rising.
  • For a richer flavor, use buttermilk instead of whole milk.
