Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells

Delicious and hearty spinach and ricotta stuffed shells that are perfect for family gatherings.

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Stuff each pasta shell with the ricotta mixture and place in a baking dish.
  5. Spread marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other vegetables like mushrooms or peppers to the ricotta filling.
  • For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
