- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 jalapeño, diced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 egg
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup salsa
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, breadcrumbs, diced jalapeño, cilantro, and egg. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal burger patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the burgers for 6-7 minutes on each side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each burger to melt.
- Assemble the burgers on the buns with avocado slices and salsa.
