  • 2 large onions
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions into rings and separate them.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, pour the buttermilk.
  4. Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then into the buttermilk, and back into the flour mixture.
  5. Coat each dipped onion ring in breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown.
  8. Drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double dip the onion rings.
