Mushroom Swiss Cheese Meatloaf

A delicious twist on the classic meatloaf, featuring savory mushroom and Swiss cheese for extra flavor.

  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed onions and garlic, mushrooms, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  5. Top the loaf with shredded Swiss cheese.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
