Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 4 to 5 pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the roast.
  3. Add the stick of butter on top of the mixes.
  4. Place the pepperoncini around the roast and pour beef broth over everything.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  6. Shred the meat and serve.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add more pepperoncini.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or on sandwiches.
