Mac and Cheese Made Extraordinary with Turkey Bacon and Chicken Ham

A delicious twist on traditional Mac and Cheese featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup cooked chicken ham, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  5. Add milk slowly, whisking continuously until thickened. Stir in cheese until melted.
  6. Combine macaroni, chicken ham, and half of the bacon in a baking dish.
  7. Pour cheese sauce over the macaroni mixture, stirring to combine. Top with remaining bacon.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some grated Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
  • Feel free to substitute any vegetables you like, such as peas or broccoli.
