Korean Braised Chicken

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 green onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add chicken thighs and sear until browned.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, gochugaru, garlic, ginger, sugar, and chicken broth.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken in the skillet.
  4. Simmer covered for 30 minutes until chicken is tender.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
