  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken in yogurt, ginger, garlic, garam masala, turmeric, chili powder, and salt for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Pour in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 10 minutes. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
