  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless, skinless
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in yogurt, garam masala, and ginger-garlic paste for at least 2 hours.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add green chilies and marinated chicken to the pan. Cook until the chicken is browned.
  4. Stir in the tomato puree and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add heavy cream, butter, salt, and sugar, then simmer for another 10 minutes.
  6. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add more green chilies or cayenne pepper.
