  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add olive oil, salt, and flour to the mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Cover and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Let it cool before slicing.

  • Make sure the water is warm, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast.
