Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; beat for 2 minutes on medium speed.
  5. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes in pans, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
