  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. In a large skillet, cook Italian sausage, onion, and garlic over medium heat until sausage is browned.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese with half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan.
  6. Spread a layer of meat sauce at the bottom of a baking dish. Alternate layers of noodles, cheese mixture, and meat sauce, finishing with a layer of meat sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
