  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the brewed coffee and vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture.
  6. Pour half of the batter into a greased cake pan.
  7. Spread caramel sauce evenly over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
