  • 8 ounces orzo pasta
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or Gruyère)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped turkey bacon and cook until crisp.
  3. Add sliced onions and garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onions are translucent.
  4. Stir in diced chicken and cook until no longer pink.
  5. Add orzo, chicken broth, thyme, and black pepper to the skillet. Bring to a boil.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle cheese on top.
