French Onion Chicken Orzo Casserole

A delicious and comforting casserole that combines the rich flavors of French onion soup with tender chicken and orzo pasta.

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onions until caramelized.
  3. In a large bowl, combine orzo, chicken, caramelized onions, broth, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Transfer to a greased baking dish and sprinkle Gruyère cheese on top.
