  • 12 ounces rigatoni pasta
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet, then sauté the onion until translucent.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
  5. Add crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, basil, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Combine cooked rigatoni and bacon with the sauce. Toss to coat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley.
