  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, broth, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add the broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and cheeses until melted and combined.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
