Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie

A delightful combination of cinnamon rolls and apple pie that creates a unique dessert experience.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add butter, eggs, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, toss the sliced apples with brown sugar and lemon juice.
  5. Spread half of the dough in a pie dish and layer with the apple mixture.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining dough on top of the apples.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add raisins or nuts to the apple mixture.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream for a delicious treat.
