Chicken Riesling

A delightful twist on the classic chicken dish featuring the rich flavors of Riesling and the savory taste of turkey bacon.

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 cup Riesling wine
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crisp and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
  4. Add chicken thighs and cook until browned on both sides.
  5. Pour in Riesling and chicken broth, bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in the cooked turkey bacon, cover, and let simmer for 30 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, and serve warm.
