  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and brown sugar.
  6. Shape the cookie dough into balls, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. In a separate bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make the icing. Drizzle over cooled cookies.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, do not overbake.
