- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 package empanada dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
- Add the ground beef, cumin, and paprika, and cook until the beef is browned.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Stir in the cheese.
- Roll out empanada dough and cut into circles.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture on one half of each circle.
- Fold the dough over and seal edges with a fork.
- Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
