Bacon Mushroom Swiss Cheese Meatloaf

A delicious and savory meatloaf featuring turkey, bacon, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese for a flavorful twist on a classic dish.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, diced
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  3. Add diced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until soft.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, cooked bacon, sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, onion, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix until well combined and shape into a loaf.
  6. Place in a greased baking dish and bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can also include chopped fresh herbs.
  • This meatloaf pairs well with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
